Summer 2026 Newsletter

Happy summer! I've discovered quarterly newsletters work well for me. :) Maybe one day that will change, but I know that I've had to prioritize my inbox while trying to leave room for meaningful new voices and writings. Thanks for reading!!

Here is an update on Sacred Weavings, Threads From an Earthy Mystic: Currently, it rests in the hands of an interested agent. I hoping to hear from her by the end of June. If this avenue comes to a dead end, I've spoken with others in the business who will help me have this published in the fall/winter 2026. The book is very personal to me, and I hope my words are helpful to others finding themselves disillusioned in their faith.

Last week I took in Block of Books in Appleton, WI, sponsored and organized by Kalan Bavinck of The Book Store. Kalan did A LOT of work to make this happen. Thank you, Kalan, THANK YOU! It was a sunny, yet slightly breezy day, making it one of those perfect summer days that we live for. And thank you to all the new readers I met! Finally, Treasure In A Field, Book II , YAY! I've been reading Writing the Breakout Novel, it has proven to demonstrate how life and writing are interwoven. Author Donald Maass wrote, "To write about life, you must live it." While reading four chapters last night, new scenes began playing in my head and I implemented Donald's teaching. I'm so revved up for the second of the trilogy!!

ONE MORE THING: Bookfest, in Janesville, WI, is June 19-27, with events going on all week! And even more: ITS FREE! Meet local authors, learn different aspects of the writing craft, take in the Janesville Farmer's Market. Several authors (including me!) have partnered with local business throughout the week.
